First Time Floaters
The Floating room is provided with everything you need for the session, therefore you do not need to bring anything from home. Swimsuit not necessary at all.
If you use contact lenses, bring a case and solution to store them.
Avoid caffeine and other stimulants and alcohol, before floating as well as heavy meals. Do not smoke the “last cigarette“ before entering in the Spa, please. The smoke smell is carried into the Float Room with you, your clothes, your hairs – which is unpleasant for staff & other customers
Any cuts or lesions (shaving, pedicure, manicure, waxing, haircuts, etc.) will be distracting: Epsom salt stings.
Small lesions can burn for 10 minutes when inside the tub.
If you do have any small cuts or areas of sensitive skin, we will provide you a protective product to apply before to enter in the tank.
Do not float straight after having hair colored or chemically straightened, wait at least 3 days.
Removing make-up is a must.
Makeup remover will be available in the toilets.
Remove all watches, earrings, necklaces and any other objects, as salt may alter their color, etc.
No problems with tattoos, nail polish, piercing
Remember to turn off or mute any mobile phones and other communication devices, as any external sound may alter your and other guests relax.
It is recommended that you release yourself before entering the Floating bathtub, in order to avoid being caught by the stimulus during the session. Use home, hotels and Spa toilets before Floating.
Before entering the Floating bathtub and start the session, you need to take a shower, wash your hair and then rinse accurately thorough. Besides ensuring hygienic standard, this phase will favor the opening of the pores and the consequent purification during submersion.
We kindly request to avoid splashing salt water out of the tub as much as possible. It is a relaxing experience and trying to swim, water play, can easily burn your eyes as well as to make you feel nausea, trust us. Lay down and find soon your position and relax or you will be wasting, ruining your session and you will not enjoy it. Trust us that know the negative and positive experiences.
When floating, try to avoid salt water coming into contact with the eyes, as it causes burning and may jeopardize the benefits of the experience.
Do not rub your eyes with wet hands and do not turn your head on the sides.
If salt water comes into contact with your eyes, you should wipe it off using a dry towel, which will be placed on hand for this purpose together with a water sprayer.
You can also go back in the shower and wash your eyes.
Most of the first time customers do not have any problem with salt in their eyes, do not be scared, we had to emphasize this matter.
If while floating you feel the need to lift your head or sit, bend your head back a little and run your hands on your hair, so as to avoid contact between the salt water and the eyes due to dripping.
You may choose to wear ear plugs. If you prefer to float without ear plugs do not forget to empty your ears from water solution when taking the second shower.
Our brains are naturally inclined to keep our heads out of water so it’s common for the neck and shoulders to be tensed during the first float experience. It’s can be hard to convince instincts to give in. You should let your head/neck “ go back “, “ collapse “, do not worry ! Initially your instinct make your head/neck to stay inclined a little in front and you do not notice it but after a while the uncommon position make your neck muscles become tense and you feel pain. Try to avoid it, relax as soon as you can, do not wait to feel a tense neck. Many people can easily relax, you can learn it.
This problem can be alleviated. You can use a pool noodle/neck pillow to prop the head up out of the water a little higher. This can ease your mind enough that your body will be able to relax more. Another thing you can do is to raise your arms over your head while floating.
Some people fall asleep, but the water is so buoyant that you stay afloat. If you will not wake up with music, verbal messages, rings, for your own safety we will come to weak up in the Floating room, talking first. If you will not wake up we will touch the big toe of your foot, sorry.
Sleeping very very deep can happen while floating.
If nothing else works.
Do not be scared.
When the session is over, you need to shower in order to remove the salt from your skin, which will feel extremely smooth and soft.
Please do not forget that you have 8-10 minutes maximum to take shower as other customers can be waiting for next Floating session.
Getting out of the Floating Room our Staff will take you to dry your hair.
Our Floating tubs are quite large and soon we will have also a shop with larger tubs for couples, another new experience.
